Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information InterviewRecall collects, how it's used, and how it's stored. InterviewRecall is a practice tracker for coding interviews — you log problems you've solved, and the app builds tests and analytics from them.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or set one when signing up.
• Content you add: problems you log (URLs, titles, topics, tags, notes, difficulty, confidence scores), tests you generate, and your answers and results for those tests.
• Session data:a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the app's features: storing the problems you've practiced, generating tests from them, and showing you analytics on where you're still weak. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in a Postgres database managed by Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Row-level security is enabled on every table, meaning the database itself enforces that you can only ever read or write your own data. The app is hosted on Vercel.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the app: Supabase (database and authentication), Google (optional sign-in), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us— we'll remove it within a reasonable timeframe.

Security

Traffic to the app is encrypted with HTTPS, and passwords (for accounts that use one) are stored hashed, never in plain text. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we follow standard practices to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
